RideRecon ("we," "us," "our") operates the RideRecon app and adv-recon.com (the "Service"), a community app for backcountry and adventure motorcycle riders to find route intel, log rides, and share information with other riders. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can access, correct, or delete it.
When you create an account and use RideRecon, you may provide:
We do not continuously track your location or movement. Location data is only collected when you actively submit a waypoint, route, or GPS coordinate. We use standard technical data (like device/browser type and basic app usage) to keep the Service running and diagnose problems. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking SDKs, and we do not sell your personal information.
We share data with the following service providers, only as needed to run the Service, and never for their own advertising purposes:

Content you mark public (waypoints, trip reports, ride logs, ratings, comments) is visible to other RideRecon users and, in some cases, to anyone with a shared link (for example, a shared route or trip plan). Please don't include sensitive personal information in public posts.
You can review and edit most of your account information at any time from your Profile. You can permanently delete your account from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. When you do:
Account deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. To request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate information, or ask a question this policy doesn't answer, contact us below.
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data as described above; some anonymized content may remain as outlined.
RideRecon is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
We may update this policy as RideRecon changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.

RideRecon is owned and operated by Rise Marketing LLC, doing business as "RideRecon" ("Rise Marketing," "RideRecon," "we," "us," "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RideRecon (the "Service"). By creating an account or using RideRecon, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to create a RideRecon account. If you're under the legal age to operate a motorcycle in your jurisdiction, you may only use RideRecon for planning and browsing purposes, under a parent or guardian's supervision.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
You keep ownership of the waypoints, photos, trip reports, ride logs, and other content you submit. By posting it, you grant RideRecon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store that content as part of operating the Service — including keeping community-contributed waypoints visible to other riders even after you delete your account (re-attributed to a generic "Deleted Rider" label rather than your name, as described in our Privacy Policy).
You're responsible for what you post. Don't submit content that's false, infringing, illegal, harassing, or that discloses someone else's private information without consent.
RideRecon is a shared resource built by riders, for riders. Please:
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or put other riders at risk, at our discretion.
Important safety disclaimer: Route, waypoint, hazard, and campsite information on RideRecon is submitted by riders and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Backcountry and off-road riding carries inherent risk. RideRecon does not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or current condition of any route, waypoint, or hazard report. You are solely responsible for assessing conditions, your own skill level, your equipment, and the risks of any ride before you go. Always carry appropriate safety, navigation, and communication equipment for the terrain.
The Recon Safety Sheet and any medical, emergency-contact, or safety information you enter into RideRecon is for your own reference and to assist someone helping you in a real emergency. It is not medical advice, and RideRecon is not a substitute for a real emergency plan, professional medical guidance, or contacting emergency services (911 or local equivalent) directly when needed.
RideRecon relies on third-party services — including Base44 (hosting), Mapbox (maps), and Google (sign-in) — described in our Privacy Policy. We aren't responsible for the availability or accuracy of those third-party services.
RideRecon is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content on it is accurate or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rise Marketing LLC (d/b/a RideRecon) and its owners, members, officers, employees, and affiliates aren't liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the Service, your reliance on any route, waypoint, or safety information, or your participation in any ride, scheduled or otherwise, connected to or discovered through RideRecon. You use the Service, and you ride, at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rise Marketing LLC (d/b/a RideRecon), and its owners, members, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected to:
This section survives termination of your account or these Terms.
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
We may update these Terms as RideRecon changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
